I just learned about your story from your sister-in-law Lauren’s TikTok. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your little girl is beautiful. They and you both were cheated out of so much. I’m glad they caught your assassin. May he never see the light of day from except from behind bars. RIP Scotty and know that you are dearly missed by your sweet family, community, state and country. May God bless you.

Thank you for your service. May you rest in peace. Thank God men are still taking a job that many times is so thankless. I witnessed the murder of Sheriff Gene Cyrus March 18 1992. I know the tremendous heartache it leaves in fellow officers in your department. My sincerest condolences to them and your fine family. May they find solace in the fact that you were operating in the light, battling the dark forces so common in our society today.

Scotty, there’s not a day goes by we don’t think or miss you brother. Life takes uncertain turns we can’t foresee and leaves us feeling empty. It’s taken me this long to leave a reflection of how much you meant to all of us at the department. Working with you over a decade and now telling war stories of the legend “Scotty Hamilton.” I can’t put into words the void left in our community and families now that your gone. This place isn’t nor will it ever be the same. For those reading this post, and never having met Scotty words can’t begin to describe how great of a person he is and was. The world lost a great man when god called him home. Rest In Peace brother, a hero remembered NEVER dies!

I hope that everyone can find comfort in Revelation 21:4 where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Until we see him again in Paradise, please accept my condolences.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Scotty was killed in the line of duty.
To the Hamilton family, fellow officers, and all who call Scotty beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.
I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you. In reading the many reflections left for you, I can see what an impact you made on so many people.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Officer Hamilton gave to his community and the citizens of Kentucky and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on March 13, 2018.

We started this journey together 12 years ago and we always talked about retiring together! I miss calling you at 2 in the morning and waking you up for advice but I knew you had my back and didn’t care. I wish I had the chance to be your supervisor bc we would have had a blast! I’d do anything to get to walk by your office one more time and see you at your desk so I could walk in and sit and talk with you. I never knew how much those little chats meant to me until now. I love you buddy, rest easy and we will take it from here. All hell will rejoice and celebrate now that your out of the fight my friend bc you were one of a kind.

Deepest condolences to Family, Department and Friends. Visit the web site ImagineHeaven.net for a glimpse of the Glorious Reunions awaiting. All law enforcement men and women indeed qualify as "Foxhole Christians" with their duty dangers. As Ray Comfort at LivingWater.com says "Passing is the doormat they wipe their feet on before entering Heaven.” It is our belief they will hear from the Lord Himself. “Do not fear. for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:12).
